As you are living abroad you are using creativity all the time. You are not always aware of it, but you do. Have a closer look:

You invent things in your new life, which have never existed before in your life. Think about the climate for example and the way you act and react on this. You have to find creative ways to adapt.
You have also invented new processes for doing the same thing in another culture or surrounding, like buying errands will be not completely the same as before.
You definitely have developed new ways of looking at something: the country you live in now, the way you look at the world or the way you look at your own country, and the people in it.

Living abroad, living in another culture, will automatically activate your creativity. Be thankful for that, it opens up a lot of good stuff in your life. You are more equipped to handle things in life, that’s so valuable.

As Expat Partners we are all creative every day because we are constantly adapting and searching for ways to solve things in our new life. The way we solve things and the way we look at things. Changing the ideas, which we hold. Creativity is also developing something new to us. When we change, the world changes with us. The world is affected by our changed action and the changed way that we experience our world.

It might open up your practical creative skills as well. At least for me it worked that way. I allowed myself to be creative, to be a child again playing with paint and pencils. It opened up a lot of good energy in me. This week I’ve made a pretty awesome thing again and I want to share the result with you.

To stimulate your creativity I have 4 questions for you:

  1. We all have a small or bigger artist in us: in what way do you use your creativity? Do you literally create things? Are you willing to share some of your work with me? Do you dare?
  2. Can you use your creativity more and more to serve you in your own life? Think about this one!
  3. Think about one area in your life in which you can use more creativity, what area will that be? Parenting, working life, the way you connect with friends (here and there)?
  4. What is the action you can take today to change your level of being a more creative YOU?

Stay creative or even grow bigger on this. It will make your life easier, you will feel freer. If you feel stuck in using your creativity, don’t hesitate to contact me! I am absolutely willing to help you move on.

Last but not least: If you like my blog, it is most likely your friends like it too, so share it!
